About The Games Place

The Games Place is New York City's game store. It's being launched by Zach and Jeof - two guys who love games and want to encourage more people to play them. We're independent. We're New Yorkers. And we are chasing a dream.

We believe that there is a game for everyone. Relaxed chitchatters and competitive go-getters ... families in Queens and Wall Street brokers ... hipsters and grads - we will find you games that are worth playing. We are bringing an all-new generation of games to the city. Classics like Monopoly™ or Risk™ are fine, but after a while lose their lustre. Our games -- like Ticket to Ride™, Carcassonne™, Power Grid™ or Wasabi™ -- are a totally different breed:

• No cheesy art - these games are made of high-quality, visually stunning designs & materials.
• Everyone can play - players aren't eliminated and forced to sit around watching everyone else have fun.
• Re-playable - every time you play these games, it's a different experience - which means you get a lot of mileage out of them.
• Appeal to everyone - with hundreds of themes, mechanics, and difficulty levels, we can find a game that you'll fall in love with.

Our debut location is now open as part of the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park, home of the first and only free ice skating rink and the nicest boutique village in the city.
