Arkham Horror places a rag tag group of investigators in a desperate race to prevent ancient and powerful entities from gaining entrance into our world. Set in the 1920's, Arkham features an innovative system forcing players to choose which skills will be strong, and which skills will be much weaker. Every turn sees players fending off horrors, encountering the strange workings of secret societies, struggling to maintain dwindling sanity, and doing everything they can to seal the portals opened by a malevolent ancient deity.

Will you take on the role of the gangster, professor, dilettante, student, drifter, or one of the many investigators found in the town of Arkham? Do you possess the strength of mind necessary to ward off the evil force of Yig, Nyarlathotep, Hastur,or the famous sleeper Great Cthulhu? Each game offers a new sanity shattering experience, that will force you to gamble with your very mind.

Based on the Mythos of Cthulu - the world created by the father of modern horror, HP Lovecraft, it's the perfect gift for either the horror/Lovecraft aficionado or the experienced gamer that wants an immersive game one can really dive into.

Originally published in 1987, this new, updated edition features stunning new artwork and graphical design (including a new gameboard, counters, cards, and playing pieces) as well as revised and expanded rules from the game's original creator, Richard Launius. Arkham Horror is a cooperative game for 1-8 players ages 12 and up, and can be played in 2-3 hours.
