Games have been a part of people's pass times since the earliest days of civilization. They offer a respite from the daily grind. They exercise the imagination. They bring people together. They even teach. We want to see people experience the endless value of games, especially if they otherwise couldn't afford them.
We believe in being socially responsible and doing right by our community and others less fortunate. So every purchase - online or in the shop - will contribute towards donating games to worthy causes.

As more people purchase games, more points are accumulated. The more points that accumulate, the more people we can help.
When we get enough points, we redeem them for games and give them to the people who need them most.

Toys For TotsFor over 60 years, the US Marine Corps Reserve's Toys For Tots program has collected new, unwrapped toys via their signature boxes each year, they are able to give toys to children who would otherwise not have a very happy holiday season. The Games Place is proud to use the Meeple for People points towards supporting Toys For Tots. Moreover, The Games Place booth at Bryant Park will be a designated drop-off location, so you can bring your donations to Toys For Tots to our booth, whether its a game or not. |

The Ali Forney CenterThe Ali Forney Center was started in 2002 to provide safe shelter for LGBT youth in New York City. They are committed to providing these young people with safe, dignified, nurturing environments where their needs can be met, and where they can begin to put their lives back together. Through Meeple for People, we will help AFC create a happier holiday season for these young people by providing games that will be given as gifts. |

The Spiel FoundationFounded in 2008, The Spiel Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to donating quality board and card games to children's hospitals and senior citizen's centers. They bring a few hours of enjoyment to kids and seniors in need, five games at a time. Moving forward, The Games Place will be a partner with TSF to provide games for free via Meeple For People and at deep discounts for additional games they purchase with donated funds. |
